At Careica, our commitment to community support runs deep, and today, we are delighted to unveil the winners of our 2024 corporate giving initiative, Careica Gives!
Our volunteer program ran from June to December 2023 and exceeded all expectations. With a target of 1,200 volunteer hours, our incredible staff went above and beyond, loggingĀ 1,505 volunteer hoursāan additional 305 hours of making a difference!Ā For exceeding our goal, our corporate donation fund was increased by $5,000, bringing the total to $20,000 to be donated.
The Careica Gives program empowers staff to nominate organizations close to their hearts. The Corporate Giving Committee reviewed all nominations and selected three exceptional winners for 2024. Our three winners each received a donation of $6,500.

Central Station is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable space, connecting community members with resources, advocating for those in need, and supporting affordable housing solutions in Winkler and the surrounding area.
The Pink Wig Foundation
Saskatoon, SK
The Pink Wig Foundation was founded in memory of Tracy Dinh and provides vital financial assistance to cancer patients and families, while also raising awareness about small cell cervical cancer.
Operation Friendship Seniors Society
Edmonton, AB
Operation Friendship Seniors Society is a non-profit society that provides community-based preventative social services to the seniors of Edmontonās inner city. They provide safe, affordable non-institutional housing options.
